How Long a Cold LinkedIn Request Takes to Become a Booked Meeting

Across 991 booked meetings that started as a cold LinkedIn connection request, the median time from sending the request to the booking was 5.83 days, 56.1% of bookings landed within a week of the send, and 85.1% within 30 days.

Dataset. Time from connection request to tracked meeting booking across 991 booked outcomes among 196,696 LinkedIn connection requests sent between 8 January 2025 and 27 July 2026 and given at least 30 days to mature.

Key finding

Across 991 booked meetings that started as a cold LinkedIn connection request, the median time from sending the request to the booking was 5.83 days, 56.1% of bookings landed within a week of the send, and 85.1% within 30 days.

What we measured

Everyone selling outreach quotes a rate. Nobody quotes a clock. "How long until this produces meetings" decides budgets and patience, and there is no published first-party answer to it.

Reachium timestamps a connection request when it is sent, when it is accepted, and when the platform detects a meeting booked with that lead. This study reports the interval between the first and last of those events, across every matured request in the dataset that ended in a tracked booking.

Methodology

Dataset window. Requests sent between 8 January 2025 and 27 July 2026, pulled on 27 August 2026, restricted to requests with at least 30 days to mature: 196,696 requests, 53,050 accepted, 996 with a tracked booking. Bookings were 1.88% of accepted requests and 0.51% of all sent (derived), consistent with the funnel in LinkedIn Outreach Benchmarks 2026.

Usable pairs, measured exactly. Of the 996 booked requests, 5 carry a booking timestamp at or before their own send timestamp and cannot yield an interval, leaving 991 usable send-to-booking pairs. Separately, 72 of the 996 (7.23%) have no recorded acceptance at all, which is consistent with conversations that existed before the request; the acceptance-to-booking figures below use the 924 pairs where acceptance precedes booking.

Tracked bookings only. A booking is counted when the platform's booking detection ties a meeting to the lead. Meetings arranged off-platform are invisible here, so this is a study of how fast tracked bookings arrive, not of how many meetings outreach produces in total.

The findings

Time from acceptance to booking, 924 pairs: median 3.74 days, 25th percentile 1.70, 75th percentile 10.72, 90th percentile 33.14. Within one day of acceptance, 12.99% of these bookings were already made; within a week, 66.02%; within 30 days, 89.39%.

What this means

The meetings that happen, happen fast. Half of all tracked bookings arrived within six days of a cold send, and two thirds of post-acceptance bookings landed within a week of the acceptance. The long tail is real but thin: only one booking in seven arrived later than 30 days after the send.

Two clocks are stacked inside these numbers. Acceptance itself takes a median of about a day, and the median acceptance-to-booking interval here is 3.74 days. The median total of 5.83 days is consistent with both: the typical booked meeting is a request accepted within a day or two, followed by a conversation that converts within the next few days.

What this does not mean is that outreach pays off in a week. Bookings were 1.88% of accepted requests. The clock in this study describes the winners only; the other 98% of accepted connections produced no tracked booking on any timeline. Speed and yield are different claims, and this study makes only the first.

In practice

A founder giving outreach "a month to prove itself" is, by these numbers, giving it enough time: 85.07% of the bookings a batch of requests will ever produce have landed by day 30. A team that extends the trial to 90 days captures 96.27%, gaining about one booking in nine over the 30-day read.

A sales lead reading a campaign at day seven sees 56.10% of its eventual tracked bookings. Doubling the observed count to estimate the final count would overshoot; the honest day-seven multiplier in this data is about 1.8x (100 / 56.10, derived).

An SDR whose accepted connection has gone quiet for two weeks is past the bulk of the curve: 75% of post-acceptance bookings happened within 10.72 days of acceptance. The data does not say the lead is dead. It says that from day eleven onward, the SDR is working the tail, and the tail is real but thin: by construction of the percentiles, the slowest tenth of post-acceptance bookings arrived after 33.14 days.

Limitations

Tracked bookings understate real meetings. Only meetings the platform could tie to the lead are counted. Meetings booked over email, phone, or an untracked calendar link are missing, and there is no measured way to say how many there were.

Right-censoring shortens the tail. Requests sent near the end of the window had at least 30 days to mature but not 90; the slowest bookings are underrepresented and the true 60- and 90-day shares are slightly higher than reported.

Conditional distributions. Every figure describes requests that produced a tracked booking. Nothing here estimates how likely a booking is; that denominator lives in the benchmarks study.

Inverted and missing timestamps are disclosed, not adjusted. The 5 inverted pairs and the 72 bookings without a recorded acceptance almost certainly reflect conversations that predate the request. They are excluded from the interval math and reported here.

Concentration. The largest workspace accounts for 22.88% of matured requests, the top ten for 78.50%. Teams that book meetings well are overrepresented among the 991 pairs by construction.
